Hilton Kommunal recently delivered a new catenary vehicle with scissor lift platform on a16t Volvo chassis in an extra small width (max. vehicle width 2280mm) to the tram operator company De Lijn Antwerp in Belgium. The vehicle is specially designed for catenary maintenance inside the metro.

The vehicle is equipped as follows:

• Chassis Volvo FLL 240 4x2
• Hydrostatic rail drive system (lorry), 1000mm gauge
• Large cabin with workshop in 100% GRP (glass fibre reinforced polyester) design with sliding doors
• Scissor lift with max. working height of 8300mm
• Max. platform load 450kg
• Platform slewing range 360°
• 230V supply via insulating transformer
• Equipment lockers with foldable doors on both sides
• Isolation according to DIN VDE 0682-742 (1000V AC / 1500V DC)
