New MEWP for Cologne! Reliable - Compact – User Friendly

Hilton delivered a new catenary vehicle to the tram operating company KVB in Cologne (Germany). The vehicle has been built on a Mercedes Benz Axor 1829 4x2 chassis. The rail drive unit is a hydrostatic driven lorry with individual wheel drive and a gauge of 1435mm. This system allows a max. speed on track of 30 km/h and makes it possible to drive through a min. curve radius of 17m. The isolated scissor lift has a large working platform (4000x1500x1100mm LxBxH) with a 360° continuous slewing range. This allows max. horizontal outreach of 3340mm. The vehicle has been delivered including TAB certification and will be put in operation in the beginning of 2014. Another two vehicles are currently at the final stage of production and will be delivered shortly.
