Just before Christmas, TPG Geneva took delivery of their second Hilton Road-Rail Cleaning Vehicle. This vehicle features a hydrostatic Hilton rail drive system designed for the 1000mm gauge used in Switzerland. Additionally, it is equipped with a magnetic brake system that allows it to operate on tracks with gradients of up to 8%.

The Hilton cleaning superstructure has been specially customized to meet TPG’s requirements. It includes a 500-bar high-pressure groove cleaning system, a suction system with a high-performance fan to clean both the grooves and trackbed, a hydraulically driven rail brush system for cleaning the rail heads, and many other advanced features.

With this new vehicle, TPG will enhance its ability to maintain the infrastructure, ensuring the Geneva rail network remains clean and safe for tram operations.
